The plots below show estimates of density and plunge depth for Onondaga Creek. The plunging depth assumes that creek density (temperature and salinity) is unchanged from Dorwin Avenue to the South Deep station (revisit the Density Currents discussion to see why this might not be the best assumption). During the winter months, the last fall profile from Onondaga Lake is used to establish the lake’s density profile.
